ABIT Boards - boot menu?

I'm going from an old ASUS A8N Athlon machine. This mobo had a great facility where I could hit f8to get a boot menu prior to any hard-drive being touched.

I used this menu to boot from CD's and other hard drives without having to go into the BIOS to change the boot priority.

This this facility exist on ABIT boards? If it doesn't I suppose I could rely on a software bootmanager but I'd prefer to use the bios.

Sorry - the abit board I'm going to be using is IX38 Quad

some abit mobos do & some don't.
I don't think that the current Intel chipset (P35 & X38) mobos do atm though.
