    Abit IX38 QuadGT and uGuru Utility

    Hi all,

    I have a small problem with the program uguru utility!
    When I finish working with my pc and after having extinguished windows I remove the tide from the system from the PSU!
    When reboot the system the settaggis of the uguru him reset and every time I must put again them with LOAD OPTIMIZED Default or from windows XP 32 bits with the utility Abit uGuru version 3.107!
    Why? With my preceding motherboard Abit KN8SLI this didn't happen....
    What can I do?

    I have installed bios 12!

    Re: Abit IX38 QuadGT and uGuru Utility

    your previous KN8 SLI didn't have uGuru for starters ...

    Sounds like something isn't quite right though.
    Do you just shut down in Windows or do you switch the power off at the PSU or socket as well?

    Re: Abit IX38 QuadGT and uGuru Utility

    I extinguish before the pc from windows and then from the PSU!
    But when I relight the pc the settings of the uguru him reset (temperature, voltage and fans)...
    Have resolved not varying the settings with uguru under windows, if I don't touch them I am able to extinguish the pc from the PSU and to the following one I restart is everything ok!
    Strange but is this way!!
    1) settings parameter under bios and save;
    2) open uguru utility under windows but only for reading and not to vary the parameters;
    3) I working in windows for any time;
    4) I extinguish windows and after from the PSU.
    5) I relight pc from PSU and the parameter are all ok.......

    if you don't turn off at the PSU will it retain the setting?
    I'm wondering if the CMOS battery is bad.

    Re: Abit IX38 QuadGT and uGuru Utility

    any good computer store should have 1.

    The other possibility is do you have uGuru set to run the default at start or your overclock profile?
    Personally I would recommend leaving it to run the default but setting up the user profiles & then you can jump straight to 1 of them with just a mouse click.

    Anywhere that sells coincell batteries. You want a CR2032 - one of the most common types. I don't see this being an issue on a board that is, by definition, only a couple of months old, but batteries can be defective.
    BH6, BX6 2.0, BE6, BE6-II 2.0, ST6-RAID, BE6-II 2.0 (again), BD7-RAID, BD7II-RAID, IC7-G, IC7 Max3, AB9 QuadGT, IX38 QuadGT. IX58... Oh, b*ll*cks. RIP Abit
