FP-IN9 SLI - Issue with Onboard Network Connection

    Hello All,

I have an issue whereby the onboard network connection will just drop and reconnect when I am connected to my route and using the net.

The more I have going on, the worse it gets (in terms of occurences).

I've considered it maybe the router's firewall dropping the connection but it's only happening recently and nothing (settings wise) has changed.

It happened on my old 3Com 10/100 network card (about 7 years old) and soon after it died a death.

It's quite annoying to have this happen when trying to download the DVD install for Fedora (still not got it yet).

Software wise, am running XP Pro SP2 (OEM).

The worst I have had it, was it was constantly disconnecting/reconnecting once every few seconds (trying to stream video and browse a fair few webpages) for a short period.

    Thanks for any help/clues.

    EDIT:
This may be a clue from the event log...what it exactly means, I don't know...
"The ForceWare IP service service hung on starting."

BTW, it's getting alot worse now, it's happening constantly as I type.

Here is a picture from the Event Viewer...

Re: FP-IN9 SLI - Issue with Onboard Network Connection

I uninstalled NAM...(do I need to reinstall it?)

Still get the same problem with the onboard Network keeps dropping out and reconnecting...

I'll try reinstalling the Nvidia driver for the Network Device.

(it's driving me loopy having this balloon keep pooping up saying, "Network cable unplugged" and then "Local Area Connection is now connected" constantly.)

    Just don't understand why now?

OK, tried reinstalling driver...no difference. Still keeps dropping out.
