FSB reset on Abit IP35 - ON LIMITS

I discovered some bugs in bios v16:
    - OC drop to default value (FSB reset) after unplag the power
    - I still have a two-tone siren after restart the system.

Is there any new bios which solve these well known problemms?

the siren will be either a temp, voltage or fan rpm out of set parameters.

I have had the reset FSB once, but after changing nothing in the BIOS and re-booting again, it came back to what I'd originally set the FSB to ..... weird eh?

Only happened once though and I haven't managed to re-create it!

Yes, after unplug from the wall and plug it back only you have to do is enter the bios and exit without save changes but it is uncomfortable.

It will happen after unplug from the wall the computer (for the night) and wait 10 hours or unplug from the wall and switch several times the "power" button - it is well known bug bioses after v.12.

I hope the new bios solve this bug.

Even when everything is on stock after reboot I get two tone sirene. On another mobo with the same parts this problem doesn't exist.

Re: FSB reset on Abit IP35

I always have two tone siren even when I turn off all alarms and etc. in bios.

Abit's ip35 bios is full of holes:
    - FSB reset
    - wrong voltages (CPU VTT Voltage)
    - usb issues
    - two tone siren on reboot
    and many more.

    Maybe someone fix it!

Re: FSB reset on Abit IP35

I'm not aware of CPU VTT or USB issues.
Some people say that they have fsb reset but others say that they don't.
The 2-tone siren isn't a problem with the board but is the board warning you that something (fan rpm, a voltage or temp) isn't within set parameters - again it's not a common complaint.

Yes, because it is specific issue and depends on period of time when your comp is disconnected from the wall... I think that all IP35(E) on the market have this issue because it is mass production.

On my friend's Gigabyte mobo with installed my CPU, HDD, PSU, RAM, VGA there is no alarm signal so... If I turn off all alarms in bios I get two tone signal too but two tone siren on Abit it is not a big problem for me.

I've read about it at forum in my country but I noticed that value in BIOS SoftMenu Setup/Voltages Control/CPU VTT Voltage is set to 1,20V as default but PC Health Status shows CPU VTT Voltage 1,10V it is strange.

I think the bios for IP35(E) is very bad designed.

I only inform about issues I discovered because many people just think it is normall or just sell mobo and buy another.

if the Gigabyte doesn't have an equivalent alarm (& afaik it doesn't, my DS4 didn't) that's hardly a great comparison.
