Hi all,
I have an IP35-Pro.
Currently, I have 2GB of Corsair XMS DDR2 800....is it worth going to 1066 at all, if so whats the best stuff to put in there?
On an unrelated note, would this board support an Intel QX9540?
Thanks!

Are you overclocking at all?
The IP35 Pro will run RAM upto ~DDR2 1200 speed, over that it gets tricky.
Unless your RAM is holding you back though I wouldn't really bother.
what's a QX9540, do you mean Q9450?On an unrelated note, would this board support an Intel QX9540?
If you do, yes although you may have to update your BIOS.
Hi BUFF,
No the RAM is running at stock speeds at the moment. Currently, I have an E6600 installed, and haven't overclocked that yet either.
Sorry, I got the quadcore name wrong, what I meant was the QX9650 Intel Core 2 Extreme - would the IP35 Pro support that?
yes, although you may have to update your BIOS.
You could overclock a Q9450/9550 & save yourself a couple of hundred £s though ...
Ah, I won't be spending any money on the QX though...:-)
Mutley it is only worth going ddr 2 1066 if you are doing high-overclocks.
PUt it another way, on my 8500 wolfdale overclocked to 4.5gigs with a1:1 ratio, th ram only goes to 940mhz!

Hey Gilgamesh,
Thanks for the advice.
I already have 2GB of Corsair DDR2 800, so maybe I'll just get another 2GB of the same stuff.
Its cheap enough.
Next, to overclock to crap out of the E6600...
sorry mutley forgot to say my ram is ocz reaper x pc8000=ddr2 1000 and even high overclocks it goes to ddr2 940. So really it depends on the overclock you want. However your ddr2 800 should be fine as is.
