    Unhappy abit fatality fp-in9

    hi guys, got something strange here. system specs to the left. and im on win xp sp2
    ive had this computer for roughly 6 months now with no problems, then all of a sudden my pc started to slow down and lock up and now my pc doesnt boot up, all the lights and fans come on just my monitor doesnt seem to get a signal to switch on. i have tried a new power supply and gfx card and tested my monitor on a xbox 360 all works well with no problems. any suggestions????

    Have you tried resetting the cmos? How full was Hdd? sounds very strange. I hope someone can give you some helpfull advice soon.

    i have tried reseting the cmos, umm i think there was roughly 30gig free on my hdd and yes it does sound very strange it is very strange to me ive also tried a different bios chip aswell

    strip it right back to basics, ideally out of the case as well.

    i tried that aswell buff stripped it down redone the heatsink paste with no luck

    Well, it has to be some kind of hardware failure if the board does not boot with CPU, 1 memory module and VGA card only.

    You already swapped the VGA card and PSU. So basically the memory, CPU and motherboard are left. Any chance you can test some other memory and CPU?

    i did try some different memory, i will try the processor and bios chip on a different mobo at my dads as he has the same mobo will let you know how it goes.

    mobo is screwed, tried my processor in a different mobo and it worked fine with no problems
