Well, i was having some problems with system crashes for awhile so i thought i'd update everything on my system. i started with the bios.. i installed the version 17 for my board which i got from uabit.com
http://www.uabit.com/index.php?optio...ge=3&model=386
Version: 17 File Size: 467 KB Released: 2008-03-27
i used the flash update utility and it got as far as programing the main board. it looked like it was frozen. but i let it sit their for nearly an hour (i left then came back) and it was still stuck. so i was forced to do a hard shut down and kill the power. during start up it gave me a check sum error. (which is odd cause i replaced the CMOS battery afew days ago after it died) then a couldnt find a keyboard error (mines USB) and finally, a no floppy drive error (i have none anyway..)
Unless i got the wrong update or didnt wait long enough, now my computer just wont boot up at all. I replaced the battery again just for the hell of it. and cleared the CMOS settings by changing the jumper settings, waited for afew seconds. then changed the jumpers back to normal.
My guess is something faulted during the main board programing of the bios forcing my system to halt during the update process. so now im kindof screwed... without a floppy drive is their a way to update the bios using a USB flash drive or no?
---EDIT---
K nvm i know what to do now, took alot of reaserch but it turns out it was a bad flash attempt and it killed my bios chip so im gonna have too order a new one =/
