Just updated from BIOS 11 to BIOS 13 and my Areca-1210 is now only initialising at PCI-E 1x.
First 16x PCI-E Slot = 8800GTX
Second 16x PCI-E Slot (x4 electrically) = Asus Xonar
Third 16x PCI-E Slot = Areca 1210
The Areca card was working at 8x before the update.
Any ideas?

Just flash back to the previous version, the newest is not always the best for everyone...

The plot thickens...
Stayed at BIOS 13. Found that increasing the PCI-E clock speed helps. Running at 105 instead of 100 and the card initialises at 8x now.
