Thumbs up Abit IB9 Questions, can you help?

    Hi guys,

I recently found a Abit IB9 to buy (i´m making a PC to my girlfriend) for a very good price but i do have some question s since there is little info about this board on internet.

1º) There is a 3 Phase Regulator or 4 Phase regulator in this IB9?

2º) Since this board is based on the P965, why she didint have support for the 1333FSB CPU´s ? All others P965 Board´s seens to have.

3º) Seens to be a good board, anyone have experience with overclock with this board?

    Thank´s in advance!

not true that all other P965s support 1333fsb CPUs.
According to Intel the P965 chipset doesn't officially support any 1333fsb CPUs (although some mobo mfrs obviously were able to add unofficial support on some boards)

wasn't designed as an overclocker although I believe it will do upto ~420fsb (on the 1066 strap iirc).
It's main claim to fame was not having a JMicron for IDE support but using another controller with 2 IDE channels & it was cheap.

Thumbs up Re: Abit IB9 Questions, can you help?

    Thanks man,

I always liked Abit boards and was very disaponted that my IN-9 still have the vCORE BUG. I even say that i whould never buy a Abit board again, but i can´t help myself and i maybe get this IB9.

Abit implemented support to the new Quad´s and Dual (C0 & E0 with BIOS 18) on my IN-9, so that´s was a good thing. Nice shoot from Abit guys! Hope that work´s in the future.

    Thanks BUFF.
