IN9 32X-MAX really dead???? Help please!!

    Hello,
I'm pretty desperate by now trying to safe my MOBO from being thrown in the garbage by my husband and I'm hoping one of you guys can help me!
The PC was running fine since I bought the MB in June 08, but four days ago it started to act up. It froze in Windows, games froze and we had BSOD's. We began intensive testing of the memory with memtest, swapping slots and different combinations. Also tried a pair of 2GB sticks of PC2 8500 Corsair Dominator finding that none of this memory will run now any faster than 800MHz while it was running at 1000MHz for the past 6 month with the four Crucial sticks in. When trying to run the EPP profiles, the system fails to reboot if you enter the settings manually for mem timings or using the SLI profiles. We had also questioned the PSU as it was a little older TT Pure Power 520 and upgraded it yesterday to the Hyper R. So far we have changed the supply, tried different memory, memory voltage settings up to spec with 2.12 and 2.2. All settings seem to fail upon reboot and right now the machine will only run with either 2 sticks of Crucial or 2 sticks of Dominator on Auto setting 800MHZ and the machine seems to be limping along and is unstable but no BSOD anymore. The machine has never been overclocked. Yo guys are my last hope, my husband is working on PC's since years and he's very good at it too but he never liked this Abit board and I tink he just wants to get rid of it now...He's already standing there with a hammer in his hands
    Thanks Guys!!

    Tina

Well, I'd like to say keep throwing money at it but being that abit is no longer in the motherboard business, support and future updates are not going to be available. Sounds to me like the memory controller is going out. Best advice is to buy another board and another brand. Now tell hubby to put that hammer down before he hurts himself.....LOL
