    esata

    Hello.

I bought a new case for my AW9DMAX that has front panel esata. Can I connect this to any of the sata connecters as this board does not have a designated esata connector?

    Thank you.

    Re: esata

Not answering on behalf of Abit, but........ Short answer yes.

Electrically SATA & eSATA are the same, it's just the connector form factor thats different. This obviously assumes that you case comes with the neccessary cable with the right connector on each end to run between the two.
