Exclamation abit IX38 Quad GT stress test help

    Hi,

Let me try to get this thing explained so everyone will know where i am at on this.....

First off i had a Asus P5K Vanilla and i was hitting a fsb wall with overclocking. Guy wanted a green motherboard for power reaons and wanted to swap. Well i thought that should be a nice upgrade and hopefully get over the fsb wall.

Now i have this board installed, a lot more settings, etc. Been messing around trying different stuff but no what i set it too it crashes on stress test. Game all day long, etc fine.

OCCT = crashes error code 1 and sometimes error code 4.
Don't have a clue what the error codes are, just get pictures after the crash. OCCT forums doesn't work and i have found no manual for the errors and meanings.

    Prime95 = 4th core always stops working
Tried more volts, n, sb, core vtt, core volts, ram settings. Same thing 4th core stops on starting prime.

IntelBurnTest = blue screen of death.
And microsoft said no more blue screens in vista.

Here is what i am using.
    1) Q6600 G0 1.32 stock volt @ 3.6gighrz.....tried all volts same thing.
    2) Corsair dominator pc8500 2 x's 2 gig 1066 mhz ram.
Although i haven't been able to use the 1066 setting since abit uses dividers.
mostly using 800 mhz + range, so 1:1 ratio
    3) ABIT IX38 Quad GT motherboard.
    4) Water cooling Koolance system
    Just cpu block
    5) Vista Ultimate 64bit OS

Not sure what is going on here. But i been messing with this stuff for a few days and got nothing done. Result ends the same. So hopefully someone has some tips, ideas, or a hammer to fix the issue.

    Good Day

if you are using wc on the CPU have you put any kind of airflow over the PWM section to replace what normally spills out from the HSF?
It's probably not your issue but it can be an issue so best to take care of it from the start.

Re: abit IX38 Quad GT stress test help

I found the issue now. Seems my little 3/8 inch koolance water tubing will not properly pull the heat off anything over 3.4 gighrz.

Dropped down to 3.4 and it past them all 2 3.4gighrz. So i guess i will eaither upgrade to 1/2 and a liang d5 or slap the peltier back on there and closet this koolance all in one.

    Good Day
