    Tricky MB problem - IN9 32X-Max - suggestions?

    Hi
Short version - IN9 32X-Max fails to fully boot, with no output to monitor. Also no power via USB or PS2 to keyboard or mouse.
Swapped out every part including PSU with second PC and it is definitely MB as everything else works. Cleared CMOS various ways as per manual, still no progress.

Suspect some part has failed - however LED shows Post Code of 9.0 and all lights on MB are on.

    Questions?

1 It is just within two year warranty but given Abit news is there any point trying to return?

2 Rather than bin what was previously a good piece of (expensive) kit that seems to have some life in it, anyone got any suggestions or verdicts? Could it be a BIOS issue - would that also impact the power to Kb and mouse? If so, is there any other way to clear it? If a blown capacitor or some such, is that repairable?

    thanks
    J

9.0. is usually eithe BIOS related (corrupted etc.) or power related (faulty/failing PSU, short etc.).

9.0. is usually where uGuru hands over to the BIOS so if it doesn't get past that it doesn't get to BIOS asserting control on ports etc.

    Re: Tricky MB problem - IN9 32X-Max - suggestions?

thanks for points so far - wonder what would stop uGuru handing over to bios? Presumably corrupt bios which is what the evidence points to (lights on, power reaching primary components...) but can't see how to reset/clear it any other way. Have tried leaving battery out, using both reset options.....

Hardware below but seems moot as all of it was independently tested with another board:

    Corsair 2x1gb or corsair 2 x2gb

Enermax Infiniti 720w or Dark Power Pro 550w

    EVGA 8800GTX or Gigabyte 9600GT

Intel 6600 Duo or 7200 Duo

Hard drives moot as am not booting with them - should still be able to get to bios.
