    abit's Future

I'm guessing that this would be an appropriate place to ask this; is abit finished completely, just I heard towards the end of last year that abit had ceased producing motherboards, and then yesterday I heard that abit had completely gone!!!

Is this true? If so, what will happen with regards to BIOS updates etc.?

I hope that you'll continue to support your products and that you haven't completely gone!

    Re: abit's Future

I would imagine that having shutdown completely, theres noone there to write BIOS updates.

So unless a few ex-abit BIOS engineers obtain the code and work on it independantly or some other company takes it on, I wouldnt hold your breath.

Normally when a tech company goes belly up, warranties are honoured but that's about it.

    Re: abit's Future

    Yeah I thought as much.

I was told that they had completely gone, but I thought I'd ask just in case.

From what I've been told, I think Asus or Gigabyte will be the way to go for motherboards in the future.
