Exclamation Re: start Fan contorl problem

Unless the CPU fan has four wires then it wil NOT be controlled by Abit EQ regardless of what anyone tells you.

I currently don't have abit software installed so i cant check but shouldn't start control be 60% and stop control 80%?

    Re: start Fan contorl problem

I have had this problem myself. What works for me is this:
    Turn off PC
    Disconnect from mains
Hold in th epower button to drain the motherboard of any electricity.
    Restart

I have no explanation why it works but it works for me!

    Re: start Fan contorl problem

If you have a 3 pin fan connected on the cpu fan header make sure you select 3 pin fan in the bios. Assuming your cpu isn't actually running hotter than the target temperature then it should control the fan speed just fine if its set up properly.
