Do youself a favor, and flash the BIOS from a floppy or USB stick, flashing from Windows is pretty dangerous.

FlashMenu is only a means of updating the BIOS & nothing actually related to the internal workings of the BIOS.
It's 1 of the better Windows flashing tools but you are safer doing it via DOS.

    Re: abit flashmenu

I have looked at both pages they very interesting is there anything u can see i am doing wrong i have flashed it from dos awdflash says it is writing and then says it has completed OK but then when i reboots i get boot blocker but if i re flash with original that awdflash backed up that's works ok but when i read all the different versions of bios on abit website first two are just as are but all rest it says in big red letters this bios is not supported by old flashmenu update flash menu first to 1.5.0.5 or later at this point i dont understand is there a later version of awdflash than one i am using or does it have to be flashed using flashmenu thanks Zerocool

    Re: abit flashmenu

    Try this download link then.

The 2 earlier links that I gave you should cover any flags/switches if doing via DOS & make sure that you clear CMOS after the flash.
