    HELP Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI and Q9300

    Hello!

before all sorry for my English!

I have a custom PC with a processor E4400@2.0Ghz, 4GB ram, Geforce 8800 GT 512Mb, recently I bought a Q9300@2.5Ghz, the problem is that I have Blue Screen and my motherboard showed me that the temperature of CPU is at 70 degrees, and the PC stops when the temperature Reach 80 ° because the PC is programmed to shut down if it overheated to 80 ° in the BIOS.

I saw in forum that was to update the BIOS to v18, mine is v16.
I perform the update under Windows (no matches) and under pure DOS (no matches too).

    NOTE:
when the update is done, 5 / 6 of the blocks are White (Write OK), the last is green (no update)

    I really despair

    Re: HELP Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI and Q9300

Just disable the temperature alarm and shutdown in BIOS. Now you can use the board.

See abit close the doors a while ago and there no bios updates for our motherboard. The C2D C0, E0 and R0 normally work fine with BIOS 16 and BIOS18.

For quads the history is diferent. An R0 CPU may work but its a Shoot in the Dark. The best thing to do is get a Q6600 or Q6700 if you want a quad, or even better replace the motherboard.

There are relats of Q8200 R0 working fine with BIOS 18 and IN9 here at Hexus. I just dont get why your BIOS update process dont work out. Are you sure you get the correct BIOS?

I can send you a copy of BIOS 18 if required.

    Good Luck
