Hello there.
I've been looking around on the net for a solution to my problem here.
Simply put, my computer wont start whenever I turn it on. Fans turn on though.
Spec:
Core: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+
Graphics card: Nvidia 9800 GTX, and I've been running this for almost 2 years now. (I also have MSI N460GTX)
HDD: 320 GB SATA II 7200 rpm
PSU: Black Diamond 400 Watt (actually on Nvidia's site it says the graphic card needs 450w at max, though I've never experience these kind of problems before.)
RAM: 2GB Kingston 800MHz DDR2 x2
Motherboard: Abit AX78
I've been over these things:
Taking out the ram, trying to put them in 1 after 1. - Not working, no change.
Took out the graphics card, to see if something changed. - Not working, no change.
Reseated the CPU. Not working, no change.
Cleared the CMOS cache. - Not working, no change.
Reseated every wire. - Not working, no change.
So at the moment I'm down to these problems:
CPU might be fried.
Motherboard might be fried.
PSU might be fried.
Forgot to add, the PSU fan is working fine too, motherboard lights up, fans light up (LED on the fans too).
I know you guys have quite alot of experience with this, which is why I'm seeking you guidance with this.
If you have any suggestions to what it might be, please tell me.
Thanks.
