Yes we do stock the I/O sheilds for the AN8 series motherboard and they cost £6.

    Exclamation Re: Replacment ABIT parts

    Hi,

I am from India, and unfortunately Abit has got no service centers here. I have this motherboard 'Abit ip35 Pro' and now it shows the code 8.7. and gives 'One long beep and Three short beeps' when I turn on the system, and then it automatically shuts off. I've removed everything from the board leaving the Processor, 1 RAM module and Power Supply Unit. I have used the on-board power on/off switch to turn the system on. Cleared CMOS using EZ switch. Still it beeps and shows the same code. I have replaced the processor, RAM and PSU with those from other machines, but no use.

Ca you tell me what could be the problem and how to solve it? Please note that its 2 year warranty expired on January 2010. I have relatives in UK, so I can think about sending the motherboard to UK if necessary.

Please give me a reply as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

    Neeraj K.

No point sending it to the UK as abit is long gone now.

8.7. is more than likely a power issue. Have you tried another PSU?

You could try a new bios chip it may fix the issue? If that doesn't work there is nothing you can really do.

I did an IC replacement. It worked.
    RAM was not getting enough.
    Thanks.
