Im am trying to get in touch with XFX and hopfully we can come up with a fix for the problem.

    Would the errors be temporary?

As I originally had an XFX 7950GT XT and experienced those issues. I have since swapped it for a Leadtek 7950Gt and am still experiencing the same issues. Is it possible that the problems can/have caused damage to the Mobo in some way?

    right just to update

the second GFX care was RMA'd and returned NFF.
I am now RMA'ing all the components to see if the Mobo is in fact the fault.

Many thanks fella but I have already RMA'd all the components in the hope that Scan can find where the issue resides.

I too have been experiencing similar problems with the corrupted BIOS load screen then the windows screen, the system then goes into a 'Windows did not start correctly' screen.

I have the XFX 7950GT card, I have already sent all the items back to Scan and they reported that there were no problems and sent it back to me, there was possibly a memory issue, I then returned the memory for credit and purchased the Corsair XMS 6400 C4.

Unfortunately when I got the components back yesterday I re buil;t the system but am getting the same problems!

ABIT Sean, have you any update on the compatability issues with the XFX 7950GT and the AB9 Pro?

This is driving me mad, any help would be gratly appreciated.

Its not just XFX, rayk47 replaced his XFX with a leadtek 7950gt, same results, its been a total nightmare. I bought the practically the same system as rayk47 and we tested each others components in our systems which pointed toward gfx card, however scan reported nff on both the xfx and leadtek cards, he has now returned the whole system for them to review

    Many thanks Sean.

I have sent Mobo, CPU and memory back to Scan so they can test.

OK, Scan have advised me that my AB9 Pro is faulty and will be replaced. Intermittent 2a errors regardless of the hardware installed.

Will wait and see what happens when it is all put back together.

I'd say the problem is with bios 15. I've flashed my ab9 with every bios under the sun and back and 15 always gives me a boatload of 2A. Very rare with 16. I'd suggest you update the bios.

I've also seen some posts (only a few) about the problems with the 7950 type cards. They will show the bios screen and when it gets to xp and then screen goes black. Something to do with the fact that they really are SLI.

Thanks for the advise but I have already updated to BIOS 16 in the hope it will help. Alas it has not.
Yes I have had issues with two 7950GT's but in all honesty dont know what else I should go for instead. Then again I have two friends with AB9 Pro's and 7950GTs and they have no issues (well one has the XFX and has a cooling problem but he has added extra fans and that is fine now, the other one has the same card as me and has no problems)

I am still trying to find out more information. I don't know if the AB9 is causing the problem or the GPU. Abit HQ has said there are no known issues with the 7950GT.
