Good news. XFX are sending me some graphics cards. As soon as they arrive I will run some test and try to figure out the cause of the corruption.

It must be caused by the 7950GT series. I borrowed one just before xmas but I only had it a day so I couldn't run all the tests.
Can you let me know if the corruption appears using any other card?
Disregard this post...I've been thinking you had a 7950GX2

Can you get a close up of the corruption - can't make out whether those are characters or just lines on the screen.
Are you getting the same corruption on the nvidia gfx "boot" screen (the one which shows the card details, memory size etc) before the first post screen?
Have you tried playing with PCI-E speeds at all? Both increasing and dropping them? Try stuff like upping the FSB a few notches and increase the MCHIO voltage (think thats what its called)
It looks like words on the screen. Could just be a funny photo.
Looks like the Elvish writing in LOTR
Ok, that _suggests_ to me that it's not a hardware issue ie incompatibility between the motherboard and the graphics card but more of a bios issue.
Thinking behind that is, if it were a hardware compatibility you'd see the corruption on the gfx boot screen as well as the BIOS screen. Saying that, various devices etc aren't fully initilised until the POST sequence starts so this may not hold.
Try booting the machine without power plugged into the GFX card, probably won't fix anything but it'd be interesting to see.
Can you also confirm what the PCI-E compliancy mode is set to and that PCI-e is set as the init display first device.
Booting without PCI-E power makes no difference.
PCI-E compliancy mode - v1.0a
PCI Slot was set as the init display first device (changing that made no difference also, corruptions still present)
This is exactly the same problem I had with the AB9 Pro and the XFX 7950, when I returned them to Scan they said that all the components were ok.
Like you I probably tried changing every setting and unplugging and replugging every component, all to no avail.
I eventually ordered an Asus P5B-E Plus motherboard and returned the AB9.
Everything now works fine.
I have already returned all items once and the mobo was faulty and a new one sent to me. Problem is still apparent so Scan are taking it all back again. If this is not successfull then I will change board. Shame really as I brought the AB9 because of its great Hexus writeup.
Oh well the second AB9 has been diagnosed as faulty and I have now decided to get the Asus P5B-E Plus as well. Lets hope its sorted now.
Shame really as I bought the AB9 mainly because of the Hexus writups being so good. It would seem that if you can get it working then its great but mine was certainly temperamental.
It is a shame that the AB9 seems temperamental like this, I particularly liked the uGuru utility for overclocking and fan speeds (when I could get the damn thing to load windows!)
The P5B-E Plus is a great board, you will be pleased with it, the only negative I can find is the utility software is not as good as Abit's.
