Initial Evaluation of AW9D MAX 1-3 BIOS

I have just installed the 1-3 bios final from the global ABIT site for my AW9D MAX motherboard.

    My first initial findings are.........

STILL NO 1333 boot strap option in the final revision BIOS

Disabling the virtulisation technology under CPU settings caused the m/b to crash and not POST until a clear CMOS has been done.

the new BIOS disables one of the 16x PCI Express Sockets namely the 2nd one. In the old 1.2 bios you had the option of enabling or disabling the ports, that option is no longer there for the 2nd port, so i presume its disabled.

Still no Memory speed option. I.E lowering the speed of your RAM in order to havea the "trade off " by highering your FSB?

What is going on Sean mate?

    cheers

there's a beta with it on the abit-USA forum but results look to be what I expected - higher fsb but less performance due to the less agressive settings (bit like a 965 really ).

    I stand corrected
the 1.3 bios is even worse. when the computer is left off for a while and turns on again it refuses to boot unless a clear cmos is used. This is no matter WHAT happens, so now I have gone back tothe 1.2 bios and ALL of my issues are not solved 1.2 bios now works perfect.
