Thanks for all that, I feel a little more hopeful now. Guess I should wait to see first! A last point on the above is that I also thought I read that 8V was the minimum even though the uguru software (not BIOS) allows 6V to be set it does not work (or =8V anyway)? - again it might be me being wrong. Though unconnected, I know from my current AN8 that only the OTES fans allow 6V and the min on the others is 8V.
I'll report back later in week when I get it setup.

Yeah I've seen that elsewhere as well, but the only thing I can report on is my own system, and here it works. Full control all the way down to 6 volts on these headers.

Got my board up & working and very happy so far.

The PWM fan control works fine with the AC7 CPU cooler

Can only get down to 8V via the BIOS on the fan headers but assume the uguru software allows 6V - wonder if it then shows 6V in the BIOS?

Still running BIOS 1.0 but as not running the Jmicron controller or RAID I think I'll stay with that for a bit.

My old GuruClock v2 works as well for reporting temps etc.

Only talking about the BIOS.....not installed the software yet. Expect I'll go for 3.101 as it is the latest.

Definitely go straight to 3.101 b00sf. It works fine as a clean install, but folk upgrading to it from 3.0x have had a mare because of a bug in its uninstaller. Good to hear the PWM is working, may just be that I've got two partially duff fans here.
