    Antec 300 windows version

Seeing as this is a new section thought i'd post a thread here

So yeh just wondering if Antec will be doing a Antec 300 with a side windows and if so will they make a window side panel available for people who already have the 300?

    Cheers

    Hi looney,

Unfortunately, there are no plans for a window to be available. But that doesn't seem like a bad idea. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Re: Antec 300 windows version

I think alot of people would be interested in it if it was priced around £10-£15, seen it asked around loads of times around different forums, some people even wanted to fit the antec 900 side panel, but it has a different attachment thingy.

    Re: Antec 300 windows version

While I'm at it () how about some cable holes on the Antec 300? The cables on the 300 were a pain to tidy so I ended up doing some cable hole mods on mine which sorted it out and improved the air flow at the same time!

Yes please! And if you could supply just the side panel for a good price, that would be awesome. I already have the case.

    Re: Antec 300 windows version

+1 on a release with window & the window available seperately.

to top it off it would of looked lovely with a black interior, or even just the 2x120mm front fan mounts to be in black.

    Quick edit :

I think it would look better as a partial window (ie not showing the HDD slots) like my silverstoen TJ09, just a nice sized/well placed window would do the trick

A window would be a great addition to a very good case. Also the idea of some holes for better cable routing would be good too.

    Regards

If they were to do a mark 2 version, then cable management holes are a must, window version, black inside and two 140mm fans on the roof instead of one... Oh and a grill on the bottom for the PSU to work the other way like on my Lian Li Pc-A70, this works well.

    Re: Antec 300 windows version

Here's my Mod not showing the HD cages, although I have removed the bottom HD cage to place a dual 120mm rad ad my pump i its place the mouted my 2 hard drives i the CD slots. this is my first ever window, quite impressed myself that I didnt mess it up, I brought a clip picture frame for the perspex as it was nice and thin, only 1mm thick where as everything else seemed to be 3mm.

One thing that has worried me a bit with this window is the perspex seems to be building up a massive amount of static, im a bit worried that this is going to arc across to the mobo or one of the GFX cards so what ive done to try and overcome this is drill a small hole in the corner of the perspex window and take a short piece of 5amp wire from the window to the screw hole on the side panel, (Picture 4) basically earthing the windows out to the case/PSU, then I thought, usually these side windows are screwed to the side panel to earth themselves out, this is just a word of warning to anyone else doing this mod.
