Had my P180 for several years now and was hoping to see the p183 turn up by now as a worthy upgrade. Any news on a release schedule?

Because you and others think it looks 'vile' doesn't mean everyone thinks so. Lots of people seem to hate the P180/182 as well, but its still a very popular (and IMO, good) case.

Having seen the P183 'in the flesh' I think it looks excellent, and I will be purchasing one once they're finally available.

I'm not a big fan of the side fan on the P193 though.

I like the new position of middle lower fan, don't see anything new apart from that.
Front case door is ugly and it doesnt look as slick as P182.

I must admit, as an owner of a P182 (and P180 before that) I didn't like the looks of the P183 at first. But it does look much better 'in person'. All subjective though.

The interior modifications are a definate improvement, and I like the compatibility with the CP-850 PSU.

Just a shame its taking so long to arrive. I know Antec products do typically take a few months to arrive after they're first shown, but the P183/P193 pre-production samples appeared around June last year.

Agreed that the PSU fan definitely needed to be moved, I'm getting sick of hearing a noise and discovering it's a PSU or SATA cable stuck in the fan blades.

Doesn't look like a whole lot else has changed though - I would trade my P180 for it, but I wouldn't be buying a new P183.

Looks like they've used the top grill and door from the miniP180
moved the lower chamber fan, better for cable running, but will probably add to the sound level slightly.
Does it still have a 120mm fan at the top or does it use the larger 200mm bigboy fan like the miniP180?

The P183 is on Antec's website now and it looks like you can buy it online for around £125-£140. It's a shame the inside isn't black like the P182SE which I already have. The P183 is what the P182 should have been like from the start. i.e. intake fans in front of the hard drive bays.

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing reviews for the new Corsair case with the hot-swap hard drive bays.
