Yeah I think the same. Seems a bit niche though. Interesting though as it may indicate the future of the macbook pro. With the black keyboard like the macbook.

Ah another reason to give this a miss, theres no user replacement battery in it so after 3hrs you have to recharge no swapping batterys ooops.

Thickness isn't important to me in a laptop.
Width is though.

Flexability is the key word in this game and the air simply isn't when compared to it's rivals and especially at it's price point.

I do like the idea, but at something like the asus EEE's price not £1000+

People will buy it cos its the new Apple product tho, that was proven when the iPhone was released, there were much better handsets out there but there will always be some Apple loving geek that'll have to have it...

Probably a no brainer for an apple fan boi but for me it's design over function. Far too much of a comprimise.

I got my new xps for less than that and it still lasts 4 and half hours under light use. (2.2Ghz, 7200rpm drive and an 8400GS), ok its a bit thicker and heavier but it's a relative power house.

Looks great but will probably cost far too much for me to consider. I'm also disappointed that the rumoured tablet style Macbook was just that - a rumour.
