    cheers for the link stoo, but i couldnt find one for the powerbook combo drive, hopefully someone will write a firmware in the near future...

    on a side note. Ive been researching a bit, and u can successfuly install a dual boot with linux onto these powerbooks

    As for the dvd drives, you can change them five times, then the region locks itself.
    For Unix software, have a look at Fink, it allows some software stuff to work under os x
    The Caped Crusader :-)
