    Anyone got iBook for sale?

I'm looking for a cheap iBook, 12" preferably.

    Summat around the £300 mark?

Two words: Good luck. You'd be stretched to get one of the old coloured clamshells for that. Unless it was a first gen one.

Oh, alright then. http://tcsmacs.com/, click PowerBook's and there's a 12" 500Mhz iBook on there for £299. I've heard PowerBook horror stories from that company (mashed up exterior etc), so it's up to you.

look on ebay, there's usually a fair few on there for about that

£300 is about right for one a year or two old, especially as they're only £800 new for the base model

Yeah, been looking on ebay, not keen on bidding on them tho.
Some look honest sales, others I'm not so sure about

    understandable..

There was a company doing refurb apple kit a while ago, they sold all sorts, spare odds and ends, refurb units, 2nd hand kit, etc, but I think they went under

IIRC Apple squashed them because of the spares or something..

Thing is, I only want it as a backup/spare/take anywhere etc.

I have my 15" powerbook as my main machine, but some times I wanna take the laptop with me, but just "throw it into the bag" etc, and a "cheap" ish 12" ibook is ideal for that.
