never used one, but the idea seams pritty lame to me
- i would buy one!!
Please don't buy an ipod shuffle, don't be fooled by the ipod brand.
No don't get me wrong, i love apple, i have a mac and i do like the other ipods, but getting a shuffle is a genuine waste of money.
Shelving out £70 for a flash mp3 player with NO SCREEN, is daylight robbery. There are other players with the same memory, same price + LCD SCREEN.
They say "enjoy uncertainty" I say "I've never heard anything so stupid in my life."
HTC Diamond, Cannon G9. Apple Unibody Macbook Pro 15" 2.4Ghz C2D, 256 9400GT,
Yeah i reckon you're right actually, i mean it's just like a memory stick coloured white and put in a box with an apple on it. well I dunno, coz it might still be cool, but wouldn't it be just like a normal mp3 player? but the white headphones are cool cept u'd get mugged. ah i dunno,
My 1Gb shuffle arrived a week past tuesday.
I don't need, nor want, a tiny little LCD screen. I don't even care about the brand.
All I want is for it to be small, easy to use, easy to fill, and to sound good - all of which it does. Oodles of storage is a plus, too.
BBbbut....
All your songs are in a stupid ramdom order!!!
erm, no, they're not (unless I want them to be).
I can have them arranged however I feel like.
Ive found the iShuffle brilliant. Small, simple to use, good battery life (charges on the USB port) Fixed state storage aswell. Need it for when Im Mountain Biking (as opposed to the ipod which is a hard drive).
I'm going to be ordering one soon. I have my normal iPod for taking away on holiday with me etc, but it's not worth taking it out with me to the shops or something where I only get to listen to around an album's worth of songs (I only listen to albums).
The shuffle sounds like an ideal way to listen to music on the fly. Sound quality is meant to be equivalent to that of an iPod (which is superb) and battery life has far exceeded Apple's claims in many user's case (~17hrs play)
That's what im going for soon. As I've been after a 1GB flash MP3 player for a while as I would like skip free tunes. For around the ~£100 mark, it is one of, if not THE cheapest 1GB flash MP3 player about at the moment. The only downer is that it has to sync with iTunes. But who am I to judge it as I am yet to use the program, can't be all that bad.
iTunes is a great piece of software, I use it all the time even before I had an iPod. Apple's AAC format provides excellent audio quality and file sizes over MP3.Originally Posted by drp
My shuffle has been very good. For how small the deivce is, putting an LCD screen on it would have ment a very small screen. Plus i would never use a screen on it, just put on songs i want to listen to, put it on random and enjoy!
Ordered it from the UK site, took about 2 weeks to arrive. I think they are starting to ship them in small batches atm.
Can't remember exactly, about 2 weeks id have said
