how much could I sell my imac g5 for?

Hello, i am considering selling my imac g5... I don't know how much I could get for it though so i was hoping that someone could advise me....

it is an Imac G5 bought about 6 months ago. It is the smaller of the 2 screens, with 1.8GHz processory and 1GB of RAM. It has the full 3 year warranty which I understand is transferable, and also has the upgraded wireless keyboard and mouse. It's in immaculate condition, still got the box and everything.

What would it be worth? any guesses?

    thank you

£850 at a guess. The spec hasn't been superseded, they are £999 new, but yours has the funky keyboard and 1GB of RAM, so considering it's 6 months old I reckon £850 is a fair asking price.

I personally would say a bit higher as Apple products dont depreciate in value as much as wintel products do. How much was it new?

I'd ask a grand, and take £900 as a bare minimum, using the "If you buy one with this spec right now it'll cost you ~£1400" argument. Emphesize the AppleCare too, that's a £140 extra.

I'd agree...it is worth £900-£1000 easily with the Applecare and upgraded RAM. On eBay the extra RAM will definitely help it sell for more. I find it is worth it to buy some Crucial RAM (or other brand) and spec out my Mac before selling on eBay, it nearly always pays off. Also as I said the Applecare does well too because people are worried about buying products on eBay that may be damaged and this assuages that. Selling it on the forums though....these won't help much
