    Question Alias to "Computer"

I would like to know if there is a way to create an alias to the computer in finder, a bit like the My Computer shortcut in windows, so I can have 1 alias to display all of my network drives and local hard disk.
    Thanks

Ya you can, cltr + click on the folder of your choice and choose 'Make Alias'. This will create an alias with a little arrow on it so that you know this is the 'shortcut'. Move that where ever ya want it

I suggest you get a decent book on how to use Mac OS X, you'll find it'll help your productivity heap loads.

gointo a finder window, then into properties. set new finder windows open:" to "computer"

now, every time you click the finder icon in the dock (if you have no other finder windows open) you'll get the Computer window.
