    does this exist?

i have an iBook g4 with the mini vga port,

i want to get an adapter that will change the mini vga into an AV connection (those 3 leads, yellow, red and white, for a tv) either that or to a scart?

its basically to watch a dvd, avi, whatever through my ibook and onto my tv

    cheers

You should have got one with the iBook i think, I certainly got one with my powerbook.

Basically it is a dongle with the mini-vga on one side and then on the other it has a composite video (yellow) socket and an S-Video socket. You can use whicheve to connect to your television. To get the audio into your tv you then plug a 3.5mm-Phono adapter into the headphone socket. I would have thought that the iBooks would have come with this, as it is still useable without the mirroring that the Powerbooks have.

My powerbook actually has an S-Video port on it, no need for an adaptor.
