    VPN on OS X?

I have a job on at the moment part of which means i have to get a user's iMac to connect to his office VPN. It's a IPSec over L2TP VPN running on a Draytek Vigor 2600+ DSL modem router. I've tried a couple of trials of OS X VPN client software on his machine (10.3.something I think, not the current major release the last one, on a G4 flatscreen iMac) with no success.

Does anyone know how good the built in client in the latest OS X is in terms of flexibility and usability? Other than that the only way I can see to get the machine on the VPN would be to get one of those nasty Windows Virtual PC machine apps and have XP running in a virtual machine on the Mac, I'd rather not go that far if I can get it to work by upgrading him to Tiger...

Hope someone can help, this is a big deal for me!

This is on 10.4.2 (Tiger,) and it seemed to work fine when I used it to connect to my University's VPN.

Just looked it up, and it isn't L2TP over IPSec. It's PPTP instead.
