Advice needed...someone just gave me a Mac.

Hi,

Someone at work has just given me a G3 Mac.
I've never even used a Mac so I don't really know my way round it.

However, the main problem I have is that the machine is missing a hard drive and memory.

My question is, what sort of hard drive and memory do I need?
Can I use a standard hard drive that I would use for Windows or Linux, or do I need something different? Ditto for the memory.


Any help, much appreciated.

I know for certain the macs take the same RAM modules and hard drives as PC's. I think teh G3's take PC2100 SDRAM modules, The hard drive is ATA (takes 3.5" only or SCSI).
