    updated firmware on imac query

Just last week there was a firmware update for the intel imac, first time I have seen or installed/performed a firmware update on an apple system so it certainly caught my attention.

Well now I need to reinstall my system using the mac osx install discs. Just wanted to know if I would encounter any problems? I have performed reinstalls of mac osx using the install discs before in the past, but I'm just getting wondering if the updated firmware on the imac might cause me any trouble.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply Stoo.

Went ahead with the reinstall, everything seemed fine. I even got round to installing bootcamp. I must say I am impressed, but I'll probably give my experiences in another post at a later time.
