Looks like Apple have placed an order for 12 million iphone units, hmm this will be a strange one. If they get it right I'll join the ipod generation again.

I find it hard to believe that Apple would put a QWERTY keyboard on the iPhone. I haven't seen the concept images, but I'd assume apple would try to remove as much as possible in the way of UI to keep things dumbed down.

I saw Hon Hai got a contract for 12 million of these things. I'm still holding my breath as to if the iPod'll be any good. I won't be buying it just because its Apple although if it has the same sort of feature set as most other phones then I might as well.

I'd be expecting leaks once they get into production. A new Mac book if one thing, but there is so much hype surrounding the iPhone, there has to be leaks somewhere along the line.

In fact, once it gets to the US, there is always the FCC website, Engadget get a lot of their first pictures from them. The only question is: will apple pre-announce this and tell the world before we all find out anyway?

I would be surprised if they leak it. The factory and most of the people in the chain have to much to lose over a leak.

It'll be interesting to see which OS they choose for it - I'm guessing it won't be Windows Mobile
