    Angry Xmas challenge...

... to find me instructions (online) for setting up a Greddy Profec e-01 turbo timer... not the install, but actually setting it up whilst driving, 'cos we're struggling here! it's in a '97 Impreza Prodrive, stock is 240bhp, i think the turbo timer will push it to 285bhp ... but it'd be nice to be able to set it up in Auto not Manual mode, so if you've had enough turkey and stuff, get on google and help out! and i promise to tell you what it's like...

Thought a "Turbo Timer" was designed to monitor the engine useage and then keep the engine running after "turning off" so that the turbo has time to cool down?

    Correct Coco...

If it were a boost controller then you might be along the right sort of lines, but a turbo timer won't help you gain more bhp..

hmm... well, it is - but i've only set it up manually (which is fine, running 16-19psi, 285bhp (ish) = 40bhp more than standard) but what i'm after is the instructions on setting it up automatically - unfortunately these are still very rare in the UK, and I don't know of anyone else with a '97 Prodrive fitted with this type of turbo timer...

the instructions are a little vague, and don't give an adequate explanation on why the system might not auto-setup - think it's because of the non-standard (Prodrive) exhaust but they aren't interested (read: unhelpful) unless they are doing the work down south!

The e-01 is a boost controller.

I found a mention of it on this site, see sction 9

thanks fellas, i know what it's called, and i also know what it does - all i really need is for anyone with as much spare time as all the above to help me find the detailed instructions for setting it up in 'auto' mode, not a detailed discussion on who would like to call it what... cheers
