Austin Metro Clubman 1.3. Was a g reg and had it all the way thru uni. Terrible, stinky car but I was grateful for it at the time!
Peugeot 306 xsi on an x plate. I really loves that car. Never caused me any problems. Then I stopped commuting and we only needed one car in the house, so my dad bought it. It was written off by some daft cow who came round a corner on the wrong side of the road thru a red light.
When I sold the peugeot I then had to contest with my wife's New mini cooper. That was worse than the metro. And as practical as a chocolate teapot. Horrible flea ridden thing that I wished I could have Set on fire and pushed over a cliff.
Now I have started a new job I am getting a company car, but whilst I wait for it I have a Passat (06) 1.9 tdi. It is HUGE! And as quick as a river barge but very comfy. And get me 700 miles off of 60 quid of diesel.
I am waiting for my car which will be a...
New Jetta 2.0 diesel. I am looking forward to something a little smaller than the barge!

    Notable cars:
Fabia vRS- a bloody big surprise! I nearly signed on the dotted line.
Merc C180 coupe- at the other end of the spectrum I guess. Comfy, no slouch and with an amazing interior. Also nearly bought that until the company car came along!
    Not around too often!

If you've driven it regularly, does it matter whether you own it or not?

And if we are going to be pedantic, anyone who has ever leased or bought a car on finance can't list them, as at the end of the day, or until the final payment is made, it is still owned by the finance company.

    2003 - Silver Ka basic
2004 - Dark Silver Ka basic
    2005 - Black ka basc.
    2006 - Aygo black

...The first ka was my parents I just had insurance on it after passing all the others though have me as the owner.

Thinking of it as purely a car the Ka is the better vehicle... will do a tonne easy even with a full load of passengers though the aygo is pretty good to but not as good as the ka and the ka sticks to the road like a leech, even in the wind.

Now the aygo is a much more refined car, with it being a much more up to date product, resulting in me never having to visit the garage - Fuel economy is great with it. However in cross winds it can actually be quite hair raising; it takes to the wind like a kit, the Ka was never like that.

All things considered though I would now rather the Aygo over the ka.

Note the Rover 214 gets shades.

It was, by far, the best thing he ever owned. Why? Cos it never failed, never lost money, and I had his spare keys s when he locked them in the boot, I saved him

And because it reinforced something. Old cars, can be ok.

I predict he'll own one again one day....for posterity

Really need to get rid of the old mans car and get something a bit more fun. Wonder how much insurance will cost for me on a R33 GTR.

Seeing as you're all doing the noticeable drives thing:
Skyline R34 GTR V-Spec running approx 440 bhp
    BMW M3 CSL
    Porsche C4S

    8) Vauxhall Astra 1.6 - Got nicked and burnt
    9) Vauxhall Astra Belmont - Got nicked and used in a load of burgalries
    10) Peugeot 405 - good runner, gave it away in the end.

*The GTI definitely gets a note - I had to buy a car while I was working in the states and picked this up for something ridiculously cheap. Perhaps it wasn't wise to go for quite such a handful while also driving on the wrong side of the road.. took me about a month before I could step out of the car without some slight trembling Once I'd learned to change gear rather than wind the window down it starting being more fun. Who says cars with over 236,000 miles on the clock are dull?

Most fun as a passenger goes to trips out as a boy in my cousins Caterham.
