My nephew saw one of those 480's the other day and said it looked like it was from the future.
God bless six year olds

Those Volvos are cool. I remember the advert. It was a picture of a Ferrari and one of those Volvos and it said "Only one of these cars is a Ferrari. Seriously."
Or at least I think so. It might be a bit different. It might be completely different. It might not have ever existed and I just dreamed it.
Still cool car.
Anyone else notice that that guy with the Miata lives on Crack Street?
Just to say, I took this around Europe (more than 4000miles) in temps over 40degress and she didnt miss a beat, had to keep topping her up with oil and the usual malarky but nothing bad went wrong
Was well pleased it was rather troublesome, though it was a shame the day before we came back to the UK I reversed into a wall and now have a little scratch on the bumper - well at least its proof shes been to Europe
Actaully I lied (a little) one thing did go in it, a speaker (drivers one) so listening to the radio and my music sounded a bit weird with it coming from the one side Anyone know where the cheapest place is to buy a pair of 13.5cm (5.25inch) component speakers from (good quality low price (~£20)) .

What the hell? How did we get from his Volvo to you posting your second car?
Anyway, what a great first car, a piece of early 90's motoring history, and as I remember they were pretty fast, my friends Dad had one and used to clean it ALL the time!
EDIT: Seems I am not the only one who noticed.
Can't say the looks appeal to me but for a first car its certainly pretty powerful! How reliable is it? Volvos are usually very good, but an "early" onboard computer would worry me!
jay_oasis is clearly a troll, so we should just ignore all that rubbish and carry on the lines of the original thread.

Ta Guys (its a fair bit more powerful than my mums 405 diesel...)
Look up a bit... http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.p...43#post1182443
Didn't cause any headaches going on our trip around Europe the onboard computer is very useful when it works, tho its been on and off especially when it has been hot... croatia...
The looks are something you have to become accustomed to, they are a bit froggy and boaty but you soon get to love it It is just so different to the design of other volvos around the time Still it makes people look

I nearly got a 480 with almost every car I got. I love the look of them and was really looking into it now but I decided I loved the 110 more and kept that instead. A Turbo one would rock!
