Broken rear tail light (Passat)

The lights all work but the other half managed to break the plastic cover part of the rear light:



Anyone have any ideas of how much a replacement will cost? Will I have to replace the whole cluster? And will it cause any problems with the MOT?

No idea about cost, but yes i would assume it would need to be replaced as one unit. I would expect it to cause problems at an MOT, but could be wrong. Hoever, without protection, those bulbs aren't going to last too long.

eBay/breakers tbh... you'll need it fixed for MoT afaik, and yep, you'll need the whole thing..

did it happen while you were trying to get it out?

Got one from VW Parts for £60 which I thought seemed ok. My wife managed to reverse into a tree causing the broken light. Now I just need to figure out how to swap it over
