10:1
10:1
If you take it on joint income (we only have one car) ours is about 40:1, hopefuly to reduce to somewhere in the region of 20:1 when i get my toy after we move house.
About 6:1.
I'm about 2.5:1 at the moment
Although unlike most people my mortgage is almost down to1:1
About 6:1 (well 10:1.72)
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.
7:2 for salary:value
9:1 on salary:car payments
2:1 (what its worth)
3:1 (what I paid )
I'm 25 and "that stupid computer hobby" my mum told me was no good has got me a nice car, house and all the gizmos you would ever need.
Your mum isn't always right.
lol
I've not drove for nearly 4 years, but 4 years ago mine would be,
300:1
I genuanly bought the car and used it for several years, and still have it.
Just over 2:1 (annual salary:cost of car).
2.6:1 at the moment.
The micra would be about 35:1 though! hehehe
This also raises the question as to whether cars are simply a method of transport, or something to be enjoyed, cherished etc. I know that makes very little difference to the value of a car, but it makes a lot of difference on how much that car will cost over the course of ownership. Say a Scooby fan that tracks his car regularly, versus the classic car collector, that didn't spend much on the car to start with, yet spent a lot of time effort and money restoring said car.
Good points there Dave.
I know a lot of people thing that spening a lot of money on a car is a complete waste, but i really, really enjoy my new car. they can give you a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction. I've been away most of the time since getting mine a couple of weeks ago, but have been driving about the town this past couple of days and realised how enjoyable it is to drive. Much more solid, quieter, quicker and responsive than my last one.
A lot of poeple don't care about their car, it's just a for of transport. Others love their sh1t heaps because they are sh1t heaps
the only thing i don't understand is when people have really crappy little 1L corsas and then spend hundreds on huge wheels, body kits and big bore exhausts. That just seems a little pointless to me.
