Question Best way to sell privately ?

I'm gonna be selling my Renault Clio 1.5DCI shortly, and want to get as much as poss for it, so rather than Part X and get ripped off, I want to sell privately.

Can you lot give me some tips on how best to advertise it, show it off, etc ?
I've looked on Parkers and reckon it's worth about 3 and a half G.

I guess obvious stuff would be AutoTrader, Exchange & Mart, etc, plus fix any niggles and valet it before selling.....

    Any other help well received

Pistonheads might be worth a look too

Make sure in the photos you have washed and waxed the car, valeted the interior (be it yourself or professionally) and parked it in a nice location for the photos, rather than infront of a graffiti covered wall.

    Hope this helps

    1. Good clean followed by a good photo - that's the hook
    2. Advertise it in Autotrader plus any local free online and paper ads.
    3. Have all the papwerwork/service history/V5/MoT etc. to hand.
    4. Wait for someone to call - be patient, expect it to take a fortnight or so, if you want good money. Or put it in a £3k if you want a quick hassle free sale...

    good luck

Na not yet... circumstances have changed now so i no longer need to urgently sell the car. Its still for sale though but i'm not really trying to sell it.
