my instructor is selling his car soon

1.9 GT TDi Golf (notice red GT TD)
    black
    94k
    s reg.. guess how much?

    WRONG
1500! mental price, two bad points are fixable
a)dual pedal controls - easiy removed
b)air isnt being pushed threw the turbo right, and its 200 quid for VW to fix (new part inc.)

but, for 1700 inc fixes, complete bargain woudlnt you say?

aye.. but would need a 100k service soon (probably) and they're expensive (500+) and would probably be a bit more worn than normal - its a high milage and all of thats probably gonna be stop-start or slow moving.. but still very good value

Have you checked the insurance - it may seem ok cos it's a diesel but with "GT" on the bootlid it might push teh price up a bit.

Sorry to be a little sceptical

That's quite low mileage for a learner car that old. I had a few lessons in a 206 that was just over a year old that had over 30k on the clock...

I would buy it, without doubt.

The 100K service I think is the first major, and maybe if the Cambelt has not been changed might need doing.

    Deff worth looking in to

P.S. Learner cars tend to have the BEST clutches in them since the instructors don't let people ride them.

To be honest 100k is nothing for a diesel lump, it should have at least another 100k of sensible use in it.

100k is indeed, nothing. Remeber also that as a Driver instructor relies on his car as a source of income, it's likely to be WELL looked after.
