Big enough for lots of kids and many dogs, Cheap to insure, not likley to get into scraps in traffic and it just looks so damn cool!

New Mondeo Estate gets my vote.

Just seems like damn good value, and quality seems to have gone up a notch from the last one.

Very true ! If rest is as impressive... well... anyone wanna to buy a current gen 6 ? One careful owner and, um, one not so careful (the missus), hence it being in the body shop just now. Let's just say a rear parking sensor will be a definite on the spec list for the new one

We'll soon see anyway, it's being revealed at the Frankfurt show. The estate is being scrapped though seemingly, even though there's a Mondeo one, so that's playing a part in our decision.
