Next year I'm looking to lease a van for work and I was wondering what is the largest type of van I can lease on my current license - it just says B and B1 (and fkp) on the back, I passed fairly recently.
Cheers!

Used to be 7.5tonnes but may have changed in recent years.
Your age may have a bearing as lease companies often don't like sub-25 drivers,

As for insurance, if you cn get it covered throug your companies insurance rather than the leasing company you are more likely to be able to ge it under 25.
We did this for a replacement van we hired while one of ours was in getting some repairs. It meant that anyone insured on the works van was insured on the hire van withough any messing around with multiple drivers licenses etc.
I have a feeling if yours is like my license *checks* then the top limit is 3500kg Max weight (3.5 Tonnes) Which Technically means if I load down my Landie then I would not be able to drive it

Cat B1 - Motor tricycles/quadricycles up to 550kg unladen.
Cat B - Motor cars or light vans with up to 8 passenger seats and up to 3500kg with a light trailer.
So, as hitman67 says, 3500kg.
Therefore, you should be looking at a Luton box van, probably with a tail lift.

Cheers for the info - Is that 3500KG loaded or unloaded?

Loaded.
3500 is the maximum (gross) weight, so full tank of fuel, loaded to the hilt and a full load of people.

If you're looking at transits, it'll be the T350. Although we're talking weight. If it's just space you want they make the 280 (2.8ton) with big tops etc etc.
