    problems with peugeot 306 help!!

i just bought a peugeot 306 sport 1.6, ran fine for the first week but now i keep getting the oil and water lights coming on, i have now filled the oil 3 times in a week, after checking each time to see how much oil there is in it, it always shows none, but when i look under where the car was parked there is no oil in the ground!! i am very confused! also it uses an amazing amount of fuel, in 2 weeks ive put in about £150, in my old car (an astra 1.6 16v) i wouldnt use that in a month, ive not been doing any more milage . am not sure if this is just because its an older car (p plate 86k on the clock) or if there is something broken in it!!! i hope i can fix it cos i love racing the boys racers and making them eat my dust ;-)

Moved here by me. I know "Question Time" seems like a place to ask questions, but it's actually a place for debate on political issues, current affairs, etc, like the (UK) TV program of the same name, and as per the forum description. So I've moved this here - it's more likely to get a suitable response.

I see you look after your cars then...

To get an accurate economy reading reset your trip counter to 0 when you've filled your tank, then when you've used at least 3/4 of the tank fill up again and you will be able to divide the miles travelled by the fuel you've used.

I don't know anything about 306s, but sounds like your oil is going somewhere it shouldn't/something else is mixing with the oil and then it's going somewhere it shouldn't.

    unless its burning it !!!
are u checking the oil from dipstick ?
coz the lights in the car wont give u an accurate figure if the sensor is faulty?

if your canning the car then it will drink £150's worth
