Car scrap value ...

My current clio has driven its last mile £850 to get it through its next MOT, so much wrong with it ... It is time togo

Whats the best way of getting any money for it? eBay? Any of these online scrap pickup places? Anyone used any of them?

sell it as a banger racer.. as long as the engine goes 'brum' and the wheels move, i dont think it'll matter about the rest of it..

or sell the component parts to other clio owners - the doors, windows, spark plugs - stuff like that..

or do like fraggie has done - rebuild it with better parts..

dont scrap it - recycle it..

You'll probably get £100 odd for it as scrap.

You will be able to make more by striping the car and selling the good parts (assuming there are some!) but even then you will incur massive amount of effort to do so. Is it worth it?

drop it down podders if there still about, might give you enough to get drunk, anything else is going to cost you time and cursing when you remove the skin from your knuckles

Stick it in the local paper you might get lucky and get a few more quid than you would for scrap.
