Handling will be fine...its just the torque steer that everyone moans about, but what do you expect with all that power going through the front (wrong) wheels...

he's a good presenter though! comes out with some funny quotes! Great guy!

He CAN!!! drive... I'd like to see you lot try and do all these manovoes in various different cars. He's probably only driven the cars for a few miles/minutes before having to film a few scenes for the programme. so i can understand how its difficult for him to perform powerslides and alike in cars which he is unfamiliar with.

Im glad i'm not the only one that thinks clarkson is not the best person to do performance comparisons on powerful cars.... let the stig present the fast cars! At least he can drive!

Any fwd car with 150bhp+ can suffer from torque steer, its pretty inevitable. Without the quaife diff the focus would be useless in a straight line, and round corners, so its a moot point IMHO. With the quaife disk it kills a 4wd skooby in the wet.... *dofs cap to ford engineers*

I'd have a RS anyday over a Skooby, Id have to think hard about the Type-r tho - its a damn nice car, and the megan...mmm well its got 2 little crome bumholes sticking out of its fat-ass and looks about as mean as a droopy chrome-bum-holed lettuce leaf. (anyone can get a megan and stick big wheels on it, dont make it look any better).

Now i aint nocking the megans looks, aint quite my style, but i commend them for making a different car that desnt just look like another eurobox. Ford did this with the focus and its sold very well, the megan will sell well too! (tho i agree that ford have lost it recently, just copying the focus and making it higher/lower/bigger/smaller is not innovation like the actual focus originally was!)

I actually took my mates one for a drive, it is quite bad at high speeds (no I did not go over any limits) It IS fast though don't get me wrong. I just didn't like the actual driving, and I wouldn't get one myself.

I have a mate who works at ford. He's driven a LOT of performance cars (Evo VI, VII, WRX, Delta Integrale etc. etc.) and he thinks the RS Focus is the most enjoyable car he's ever driven.

personally the new 206 GTi is starting to grow on me, but knowing me i'll be thinking about something else next week! LOL

Apparently, the suspension setup on the Focus RS is such that it handles like a demon on a track - hence the ace times - but really tramlines badly on a proper B road
