New(ish) look at the new Seat Ibiza Cupra

Now I'm not much of a car person, but I can't help thinking that I'd seriously consider getting the new Ibiza Cupra when it hits the UK. I do like the drive of a small hatch and it's 1.4 litre turbocharged/supercharged engine, and 7 speed DSG box sounds ideal! Doesn't look too bad either! And having seen the inside of the new Leon Cupra, they have definitely upped the interior compared to the old cupras.

Does anyone have any info when it will go on sale here? I'm sure there will be plenty who disagree with me about it too.. like it's just another vag, you'll find the same spec on about a million other cars etc.

I've only seen the little bit in.. evo was it? Looks pretty good (from front on anyway), I almost bought the old Ibiza FR but the insurance was a bit high for me at the time and it is a nice way to leave the slightly more mudane VW styling while maintaining their quality and relability.

It's not a bad engine, already in the Golf GT of course and serves it's purpose well enough in that car although you could argue it's rather pointless when the Golf or now scirocco even, is only a couple of thousand more.

The other pictures of it, apart from head on aren't to my taste but I'm sure it will be a pretty good car overall, VAG don't produce many terrible cars these days, just a bit boring most of the time.

I believe it's supposed to debut at the Paris Auto show from a quick google, so mid october you may find out more
