Whats peoples opinion on them?
Part of me wants to get a 2 seat car, basically so I don't end up ferrying people everywhere... I'm in one of those 'fed up' moods atm.

Get a caterham
a few friends have them and seem pretty happy with them - although the running costs aren't too cheap !

Short on storage space. Rear-strut-brace severely impeeds boot space and their no cover to hide your goods.
Oh who am I kidding.
It's got near-enough 300bhp, is RWD and looks great!
What's not to like?
Just remember there are plenty of imports around so there are two markets in terms of price.

If you are looking to get a 350z, you may be best off waiting until the 370z hits the showroom - as prices will really tumble then
Probably but I suspect it's close. You might break 20mpg in the RX8 and need to regularily top-up the oil (design feature os rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishel engine).
The 350z is quicker and therefore attracts higher insurance so you'll likely find overall costs not much different.

When is the 370z out then?
Prices fall even more, even with most car manufacturers struggling? Sounds good to me!
How about looking at an Audi TT (new shape)? Unless you have no head (or shoulders or legs) then you can sit on the park bench they call the rear seats. The DSG gearbox is nice and the funky suspension is very funky.
I asked because I was looking at RX8's and deemed them cool but too expensive running costs. Who was driving a dwarf? I had to have the seat back quite a bit (6ft 3) so there was no room for anyone to sit in the back.
Audi TT, I'm not too sure about. Maybe I'll have a look on the weekend. Lotus? Hmm insurance.
I've driven a 350z and it's fantastic. The handilng is amazing and the power is intoxicating.
The strut brace does get in the way somewhat but to be fair you don't buy a car like that for practical reasons.

Saw an old 5th Gear on Dave at the weekend where Tiff reviewed the RX8 and his conclusion was that it's a very good car, but unless you need to carry rear passengers regularly buy a 350Z
